Lizards, and Crabs, and Fish, Oh My!

Mayday is totally, and completely obsessed with lizards.  They walk along the sliding glass door during the day, and she goes insane.  It makes her think everything that is approximately 3 inches long and moves must be a lizard.  The clocks above my computer at my desk are constantly taunting her.  She sits very still pointing at them, ready to pounce if one of hands decides to move quickly.  Last night she caught a poor lizard who, somehow, was able to sneak into the house.  I am slightly traumatized by the event, and wish Zac had been here to clean up the carnage.

Crabs are another fascination of Mayday's.  When we go out for our morning walk, she scans the beach, looking for her next victim.  Once in her sights, she will stop at nothing to get them.  After she catches one, she grabs ahold of them with her teeth and shakes them vigorously until they break apart, leaving them twitching on the sand.  Some mornings, there will be 3 or 4 different crab bodies strewn across the beach.

She has come close to catching a few fish, and I'm starting to get worried that she will catch one and bring it to me and drop it at my feet.  I'm sure her victory in her fish catching pursuits is only a couple of weeks away . . .
